We have generic the 6V 2.5Ah Ni-Cad Battery sticks and limited spares available for both units.

The Generic 6V Ni-Cad Battery stick works in both the ML1701 (Halogen Rechargeable) and the ML1705 (643 Lumen Rechargeable).
